Craving light

These are some of my absolute favorite images. I want that coffee table! Trying to figure out how to approach my hubbie about building me one. The armoire is simply fabulous, considering painting mine, looks like a lot of work though.
Trying to ignore the fussy baby at my knee while I type this, hoping he will just find something to chew on. Nope, he is still crying. Off to tend to the fussy baby. Can't wait till Spring, fresh flowers, open windows and sending the kids outside. :)

Swedish Style....

What do you think?

 Are you in love?

Or do you need a hint more color?
I am a bit of a decorating scatter brain. So many things I love, so many things I'd like to try.

Bathing Beauties

I will take the mirror and chandelier, someone else can have the ducks.
This is a great way to display towels in your bath, if your lucky enough to have one of these lovely chairs.

I love to use plain white fluffy towels from Costco, they are not expensive and clean up great with bleach.

Happy Birthday Marshall

My little angel turns one today, he is such a blessing to our family.
He makes mommas heart leap with those big blue eyes and fuzzy white hair.

For the love of Lavender

I am head over heels in love with this plant. Not only does it look great and is easy to take care of,  it smells amazing. Even now in winter it still looks lovely. There are so many different varieties of lavender it can be confusing to know which you will like best. I have found that the Fred Boutin variety holds up to our winters in the northwest without rotting. I have also learned to add some rocks to the bottom of the hole prior to planting to help drain all of that lovely rain we get.

Coffe table decorating

As I am putting away all of the Christmas decor I am inspired to try some new things. The coffee table is always an easy place to start. Thought I would share a video I discovered at Pottery Barn. Great and simple ideas to change things up a bit. A cheap alternate to the trays used are wooden Pepsi boxes or wooden totes/toolboxes found at local thrift stores. Enjoy!
